Dogs have walked the earth as long as humans, maybe longer. They have the right to live, eat and speak for themselves. At one time in history humans and dogs lived with each other, as friends. There was once a saying that went, "A man's best friend." That is all over now.
In 2054, dogs are out cast. Humans hate them for the dog was the very animal that carried the horrible disease called, Califipious. It was carried by dogs and suffered by humans. Many died during the time that is spread. Only one million humans survived.
The world looks the same, it has been ten years after the spread of the disease and the grass has grown and the dead bodies have been removed from the streets. But of course, dogs are still banned from the homes and from the city. The humans are still terrified that the disease will get stronger and kill the rest of the human population. Now dogs have to live on there own, steal, fight, and make their own choices. Because of this, the dogs have formed packs. To help each other. some dogs stayed to themselves, called Loners, but most of the dogs joined packs. In Deerfield, the dogs are the rulers of the streets.
