Jump City, California.
At first glance, Jump City is a teenage paradise. Having so many activities for the teenage population is one of the many perks of this city. It seems that every Friday and Saturday night there is a party housing underage teens and all the booze you could want. Often, these parties disturb the neighbors, who then call the cops only to watch dismayed as the partiers flee the scene. The cops usually manage to catch one or two of these teenagers and throw them into Juvenile Hall soon afterwards; however, crime in Jump City went further beyond just some adolescent ignorance.
Murder. Theft. Shootings. Fighting.
Gangs. Super Villains. Mercenaries. Kidnappers.
The city couldn’t hide its haunted and gruesome history; however, even when catastrophes struck, there was a shining hope in the city that would put it to rest and fix everything back to normal. A team of teenaged youth willing to put their own lives on the line to protect Jump City and the world from destruction.
They call themselves the Teen Titans.
Not much is known about these teenagers or where they came from. Though, what many seem to think is that they live the ‘perfect’ life. Kicking butt of a criminal and saving the day while maintaining their composure, being adored by the entire city and by teenagers everywhere, the feeling of being looked up to by innocents when danger strikes. It appears they live the good life: stocked with the latest equipment, able to travel anywhere – even space – without a care, getting discounts on items like food and clothing because they were ‘heroes’.
Those people were wrong.
There was nothing glamorous about being a Titan.
When heated arguments are taking place between Titans; many of them now quitting the team and going off to join another Titans affiliation in different cities. When your leader starts having more and more trouble distinguishing the line between good and evil and is soon turning away from his own team to try and catch the criminals on his own without their help. When your worst enemies see everything going on and use it to their advantages.
There’s only one thing that’s going on through the innocents minds as they start noticing the changes in their beloved heroes:
